Digital Dungeons & Dragons
Hosted By: David Flick
Welcome, adventurers! Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a fantasy role playing game (RPG) in which players create characters and embark on epic journeys with the hopes of making memorable moments and, most importantly, finding that sweet-sweet loot.  Taking traditional elements from the fantasy genre, D&D presents players with an abstract stage on which to create and control an imaginary persona in a fictional landscape. Utilizing a virtual tabletop online, you will learn how to create a character and then team up with other like minded heroes to successfully navigate the  perils and pitfalls of a classic D&D adventure.  At its most basic, D&D is collaborative storytelling; at its most complex, it is only limited by the scale and scope of your boundless imagination!
Suggested equipment list: The game is hosted on Roll20. In order to create an account participants will need an email address.  If they don't have one or would rather not share it then the instructor can create a dummy e-mail for account creation purposes only. The free version will be all that is needed to to have an enriching experience as most of the fun of DnD comes from your imagination.

ADVENTURE SUMMARY: Many have spoken the legend of the Sunless Citadel.  Once a great shrine dedicated to the ancient gods, it has long lain dormant, buried by the sands of time. Recently, however, rumors have begun to echo throughout the many taverns and watering holes of Neverwinter.  They speak of an evil presence that has taken root within the broken halls of the lost citadel.  Those who dare to have explored its rotten core, speak of an evil druid and a maligned apple tree whose fruit has the power to both restore life as well as take it away.  Your story starts, as so many do, with a request.  Retrieve one such apple and return it for a small reward.  Do you dare accept the challenge?  Do you have what it takes to confront the very heart of evil? Put on your finest adventuring hat and join us to find out...

Hosted By: Sylvie Evans
Calling all participants with some knitting experience! This summer we will be knitting scarves in our virtual class. If you have little confidence in your knitting skills, you’ll be practicing your knitting using garter stitch. If you have some confidence in your knitting skills (understanding knitting vs. purling, counting stitches, following a pattern) there will be a selection of patterns for you to choose from. If you finish your scarf project before the end of the two week session, there will be extra projects offered like yarn dolls, pom poms, etc.
Suggestions for participants: In order to accommodate our new online platform, some knitting experience is required.
